What is Close MCP?
The Close MCP Server is a standardized connection that lets AI agents work directly with your Close CRM. Through the Close MCP Server, an agent can search leads and contacts, read opportunities and pipelines, create and update records, log notes and activities, manage tasks, and schedule AI voice agent calls. It exposes your real Close data to any compatible AI client so the agent acts on the same leads, contacts, and deals your sales team works every day.
Sales teams lose hours to manual CRM upkeep: hunting for the right lead, updating opportunity stages after every call, logging notes, and chasing follow-up tasks. The Close MCP Server hands that busywork to an AI agent that reads and writes your CRM for you. Describe what you need, and your AI agent will handle the CRM update for you.
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI agents to the tools they use. Instead of writing code against the Close API, registering an OAuth application, or juggling API keys and scope headers yourself, you connect Close to Gumloop once. After that, you can manage your CRM just by chatting with your AI agent.

Close MCP use cases
Account executive keeping the pipeline current
An AE finishes a call and tells the agent what happened. The agent updates the opportunity stage, logs a note against the lead, and creates a follow-up task with a due date, so the pipeline reflects reality without any manual CRM entry.
SDR triaging inbound leads
An SDR asks the agent to review new inbound leads. The agent searches recent leads, reads the custom fields, creates missing contacts, and sets lead statuses so the queue is clean and prioritized before the first outreach.
RevOps analyst pulling a weekly report
A RevOps analyst asks how the team performed this week. The agent aggregates Close activity data, reads field definitions, and pulls voice agent performance reports, then hands back a clear summary of calls made, opportunities created, and stages moved.
Sales manager scaling outreach with voice agents
A sales manager wants to reach a list of warm leads fast. The agent finds the right voice agent, schedules calls to each lead’s contact, and reports back on outcomes, so a large call list gets worked without tying up the team.
Marketing ops syncing CRM with the rest of the stack
A marketing ops lead wants new Close leads reflected everywhere. The agent watches for new leads, enriches records, and chains Close with Gmail and Slack in a single agent so the team gets notified and follow-up emails go out automatically.
