What is DocuSign MCP?
The DocuSign MCP server gives AI agents access to your DocuSign e-signature data. That means agents can send envelopes for signature from your existing templates, search and track envelopes as they move through signing, check where each recipient stands, download completed documents and completion certificates, pull the full audit trail for any envelope, and read your templates, users, account settings, and brands. It works across the DocuSign objects your team relies on, from the envelope lifecycle to the records behind it.
If your team spends time manually sending agreements, chasing signers for status, downloading signed PDFs one at a time, or assembling audit records for compliance, an AI agent can take over a lot of that busywork. Describe what you need, and your AI agent will handle the signing operations for you.
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It’s an open standard that gives AI agents a way to connect to external tools and services. Instead of registering your own DocuSign integration, managing an OAuth app with client IDs and secrets, and refreshing tokens yourself, you connect your DocuSign account to Gumloop once. After that, you can run your signing pipeline just by chatting with your AI agent.

What you can do with DocuSign MCP on Gumloop
Send envelopes for signature from templates
Create an envelope from one of your existing DocuSign templates, fill in the signer and CC roles, and either save it as a draft or send it right away. Your AI agent can dispatch a ready-to-sign agreement without anyone opening DocuSign.
Track signing status across envelopes
Search and list envelopes by date, status, sender or recipient, folder, custom field, or free text, then pull full status on any single envelope. An agent can see at a glance what’s out, what’s completed, and what’s stalled.
Check where each recipient stands
Read the status of every recipient on an envelope, including signers and CCs, so an agent can tell you exactly who has signed and who is holding things up.
Manage the envelope lifecycle
Send a draft, void an agreement with a reason, resend notifications, or update the email subject and message on an existing envelope. An agent can move envelopes forward or shut them down as deals and documents change.
Download signed documents and certificates
Pull individual documents, a combined PDF of an entire envelope, or the completion certificate, and save them to Gumloop storage. An agent can archive every signed agreement automatically.
Pull the audit trail for compliance
Retrieve the full sequence of events on any envelope. An agent can turn that into a clean compliance timeline or flag anything unusual for review.
Browse templates, users, and brands
Read your templates and their roles and tabs, list and inspect account users and licenses, review account settings, and read the brands configured on the account, all so an agent can pick the right template or report on account setup.

DocuSign MCP use cases
Automated contract sending for sales teams
When a deal reaches signing, a Gumloop agent can create an envelope from your standard contract template, drop in the customer’s name and email as the signer, and send it. The rep never leaves the conversation, and the agreement goes out in seconds.
Signature chasing and status tracking for operations
An agent can list every envelope that’s still out for signature, check which recipients haven’t signed, and post a reminder digest to Slack or send a nudge by email. Ops stops manually refreshing the DocuSign dashboard to see who’s behind.
Signed-document archival for legal and finance
As envelopes complete, an agent can download the combined signed PDF and completion certificate and file them into Google Drive or Box under the right client folder. Every executed agreement lands in your system of record without a manual export.
Compliance timelines for audit and risk
For any agreement under review, an agent can pull the full audit trail of events, summarize who did what and when, and compile it into a document or sheet. Audit prep that used to take an afternoon becomes a single request.
Agreement search and summary for revenue operations
An agent can search envelopes by custom field, date range, or status, summarize the matching agreements, and roll the results into a report. RevOps gets answers about what’s signed and pending without digging through folders.
Why use Gumloop for DocuSign MCP
Connect once, no OAuth app to manage
Most DocuSign MCP servers you’ll find on GitHub make you register your own DocuSign integration, manage a client ID and secret, resolve your account’s base URI, and refresh tokens in code. With Gumloop you just connect your DocuSign account and you stay connected as tokens refresh automatically. No integration registration, client secrets, or coding against the DocuSign API necessary.
Works with multiple MCP clients
Use the DocuSign MCP server endpoint in Claude Desktop, Cursor, or directly inside Gumloop agents. Same server URL, works with any MCP client.
Chain DocuSign with 100+ other integrations
Combine DocuSign with Salesforce, Gmail, Google Drive, Slack, and other MCP tools in a single AI agent. An agent can send an agreement, wait for it to complete, archive the signed PDF, and update your CRM, all in one run.
Enterprise-grade and scalable
Built for teams, with role-based permissions and dedicated support for Pro users. For details on Gumloop’s security practices, see trust.gumloop.com.
Start with a free trial
