Installation
Set up the Box MCP server in Gumloop
Do this once to provision your hosted server URL.
Create a Gumloop account
To use this MCP, you need a Gumloop account. If you don't have one yet, you can create one for free.
Add and authorize the Box server
In Gumloop, open Connectors and add Box. You'll be sent to Box's sign-in screen to grant access. The credential is stored securely in Gumloop.

What is Box MCP?
The Box MCP server gives AI agents access to your Box content. That means agents can search files and folders, read file and folder metadata, upload and download files, copy and move them, create folders, create shared links, add collaborators, update tags, and look up enterprise users and groups. It also exposes the native Box AI, so an agent can ask questions about your documents, extract structured metadata with confidence scores, and generate text from file content. It works across the core Box objects: files, folders, users, groups, shared links, and tags.
