What is Google DV360 MCP?

The Google DV360 MCP server gives AI agents access to your Display & Video 360 account. That means agents can: browse your partners, advertisers, campaigns, and line items; pull performance data like impressions, clicks, CTR, spend, revenue, conversions, and viewability; audit and search targeting options; and pause or activate campaigns, insertion orders, and line items. It works across the DV360 hierarchy, so an AI agent can answer questions about your programmatic buys and make targeted changes.

If you spend time pulling DV360 reports into spreadsheets, checking budget pacing line item by line item, or hunting for misconfigured targeting in campaigns, this kind of automation removes a lot of that manual digging. Describe what you need, and your AI agent queries DV360 and reports back (or makes changes).

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It’s an open standard that gives AI agents a way to connect to external tools and services. Instead of enabling the Display & Video 360 API in Google Cloud, configuring OAuth scopes, and writing code against the DV360 API, you just connect your Google account via MCP. Then, start chatting with the AI agent and it’ll work on your campaigns for you.

What you can do with Google DV360 MCP on Gumloop

  • Browse your DV360 account hierarchy

List the partners and advertisers your account can access, then drill into any advertiser to get its details. Your AI agent can find the right account without you clicking through the DV360 UI.

  • Inspect campaigns and line items

List campaigns for an advertiser and line items for a campaign, and pull full details on any specific campaign or line item by ID. Useful for reviews, QA, and answering "what’s running right now" questions.

  • Pull performance, spend, and viewability metrics

Get comprehensive performance data for campaigns, line items, or advertisers (impressions, clicks, CTR, spend, revenue, conversions, and viewability). Your AI agent can summarize results, compare line items, or flag underperformers.

  • Pause and activate campaigns and line items

Update the status of a campaign, insertion order, or line item to pause or activate it. Handy for automated pacing controls, end-of-flight pauses, or quickly reacting to a budget or brand-safety issue.

  • Audit targeting on any line item

Pull the targeting options assigned to a line item, or get a specific targeting option, so an AI agent can review how a buy is set up and catch mistakes before they waste spend.

  • Search targeting across many line items

Search targeting options across multiple line items and targeting types at once. Useful for finding where a placement, audience, or geo is (or isn’t) applied across an entire campaign.

  • Bulk-update targeting across line items

Update targeting options for multiple line items in a single operation (delete and create together). Apply a new exclusion list, swap an audience, or roll out a targeting change across a campaign, without editing each line item by hand.

Google DV360 MCP use cases

Automated performance reporting for media buyers

Pull performance across an advertiser’s campaigns and line items, have an AI agent summarize spend, CTR, conversions, and viewability, and drop a formatted weekly report into Google Sheets or a Slack channel. Buyers get a current read on every campaign, without exporting DV360 reports by hand.

Budget pacing and anomaly alerts for programmatic traders

An AI agent can check spend and delivery against expectations on a schedule, flag line items that are overspending or underdelivering, and, when something’s clearly off, pause the offending line item via a status update and notify the trading desk in Slack.

Targeting audits for agencies

Search targeting options across every line item in a campaign to find overlaps, missing exclusion lists, or audiences applied to the wrong line items. The agent compiles an audit of what’s misconfigured, so the team can fix issues before burning budget.

Bulk targeting rollouts and brand-safety updates

When a new exclusion list or audience needs to go live, an AI agent can update targeting options across many line items in one operation, instead of editing each by hand. Useful at campaign launch or when reacting quickly to a brand-safety incident.

Cross-platform marketing reporting

Combine DV360 performance with data from Google Ads, Google Analytics, and other MCP tools, have an AI agent normalize it, and output a single cross-channel report to Google Sheets or Slack. One source of truth for programmatic plus the rest of your media mix.

Why use Gumloop for Google DV360 MCP

  • No GCP project, OAuth consent screen, or DV360 API setup

Building your own DV360 MCP server means enabling the Display & Video 360 API in Google Cloud, configuring an OAuth consent screen and scopes, and writing code to handle authentication and the DV360 API’s hierarchy. Gumloop handles all of that. You connect your Google account and you’re set. No config files or service accounts.

  • Works with multiple MCP clients

Use the Google DV360 MCP server endpoint in Claude Desktop, Cursor, or directly inside Gumloop. Same server URL; works with any MCP client.

  • Chain DV360 with 100+ other integrations

Combine DV360 with Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Sheets, Slack, and other MCP tools in a single AI agent. Pull performance from DV360, blend it with other channels, and write the result to whatever tools your team uses.

  • Enterprise-grade and scalable

Built for teams, with role-based permissions and dedicated support for Pro users. The DV360 MCP respects your existing account access, so agents only reach what your Google account can.

  • Pricing includes a free plan

You can test the Google DV360 MCP integration on Gumloop’s free tier before committing. Paid plans start at $37/month.
