What is Zoom MCP?
The Zoom MCP server gives AI agents access to your Zoom meetings, cloud recordings, transcripts, and Canvas documents. That means agents can create instant, scheduled, or recurring meetings with full settings, list and filter your meetings by status and date, fetch the details of any meeting, pull cloud recording files and transcripts, and read your Zoom Canvas docs. It works across the meetings you host, the recordings they produce, and the collaborative docs your team keeps in Zoom.
If you spend time setting up meetings by hand, hunting for the right recording, or copying meeting transcripts into another tool to summarize them, an AI agent can take that off your plate. Describe what you need, and your AI agent will handle the meeting setup and the post-meeting follow-up for you.
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It’s an open standard that gives AI agents a way to connect to external tools and services. Instead of registering a Zoom OAuth app, wiring up the consent screen, and refreshing access tokens against the Zoom API yourself, you connect your Zoom account to Gumloop once. After that, you can schedule meetings and pull transcripts just by chatting with your AI agent.

What you can do with Zoom MCP on Gumloop
Create instant, scheduled, and recurring meetings
Spin up a meeting with a topic, start time, duration, timezone, and password, or set a recurrence pattern for a standing series. Control the full settings such as waiting room, join before host, mute on entry, and auto-recording, so each meeting opens exactly how you want it.
List and filter your meetings
Pull your meetings filtered by status (scheduled, live, upcoming, or previous) and narrow them by date range. Your AI agent can find today’s calls or last month’s sessions without you scrolling through the Zoom app.
Look up meeting details
Fetch the full configuration for any meeting, including join and start URLs, settings, and recurrence. Useful when an agent needs the link to share or the settings to confirm before a call.
Access cloud recording files
List all of your cloud recordings or pull the recording files for a specific meeting (MP4 video, M4A audio, VTT). You can include a download access token with a configurable lifetime so an agent can reach the files programmatically.
Pull meeting transcripts inline
Fetch the transcript for a cloud-recorded meeting and have its full WEBVTT content come back inline in the response, with no separate download step. That makes transcripts immediately ready for an AI agent to summarize, search, or turn into action items.
Browse and export Zoom Canvas docs
List the files and folders in your Zoom Canvas, read a Canvas file’s metadata, and export a doc’s content as Markdown. Your agent can read and reason over collaborative docs the same way it reads any other text.

Zoom MCP use cases
Automated meeting notes for operations teams
After a recorded call wraps, a Gumloop agent can pull the meeting transcript inline, summarize the discussion and decisions with an AI model, and post the notes to a Slack channel or a Notion page. The team gets clean notes minutes after the call without anyone needing to replay the recording.
Recurring meeting setup for executive assistants
An AI agent can create a recurring meeting with the right recurrence pattern, waiting room, and auto-recording settings, then drop the join link into a Slack message or an email to attendees. Standing meetings get set up consistently without anyone needing to click through the Zoom settings each time.
Recording retrieval for revenue teams
Ask an agent to list recent recordings, pull the files for a specific customer call with a download access token, and hand the link to your sales or success workflow. Reps don’t have to dig through the Zoom recordings list to find the calls they need.
Weekly meeting digests for team leads
Pull every previous meeting in a date range, fetch the transcript for each recorded one, and have an AI agent compile a single digest of what happened across the week into Google Sheets or a Slack post. Leads get a current picture of meetings and outcomes without manual review.
Canvas-to-knowledge-base sync for knowledge managers
A Gumloop agent can browse your Zoom Canvas, export the relevant docs to Markdown, and publish or sync them into Notion or another integration. Collaborative docs stay readable by the rest of your stack instead of living only inside Zoom.
Why use Gumloop for Zoom MCP
No OAuth app to register or tokens to manage
Most Zoom MCP servers you’ll find on GitHub make you register a Zoom OAuth app, configure scopes and a redirect URI, and refresh access tokens yourself. With Gumloop you connect your Zoom account once and the platform handles the OAuth handshake and refresh. No config files, token juggling, or coding against the Zoom API necessary.
Works with multiple MCP clients
Use the Zoom MCP server endpoint in Claude Desktop, Cursor, or directly inside Gumloop agents. Same server URL, works with any MCP client.
Chain Zoom with 100+ other integrations
You can chain Zoom with any other MCP integrations in a single agent. Pull a meeting transcript, summarize it with an LLM, and write the result to Slack, Gmail, Google Sheets, or Notion.
Enterprise-grade and scalable
Built for teams, with role-based permissions and dedicated support for Pro users. For details on Gumloop’s security practices, see trust.gumloop.com.
Pricing includes a free plan
You can test the Zoom MCP integration on Gumloop’s free tier before committing. Paid plans start at $37/month.
