What is Sprig MCP?
The Sprig MCP server gives AI agents access to your Sprig product-research data. That means agents can pull survey responses with rich metadata, list and inspect your studies, retrieve Sprig’s AI-generated themes on open-text responses, look up a user’s profile, and create or update users for targeting. The MCP server works across Sprig’s core entities, so an AI agent can analyze your user feedback and feed the insights into the rest of your workflow.
If you spend time exporting survey responses, reading through open-text feedback to find patterns, or copying insights into a doc, an AI agent can take over a lot of that work. Describe what you need, and your AI agent will pull the responses and surface the themes for you.
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It’s an open standard that gives AI agents a way to connect to external tools and services. Instead of writing code against the Sprig API, handling pagination, and parsing responses yourself, you add your Sprig API key to Gumloop once. After that, you analyze your survey data just by asking your AI agent in plain language.

What you can do with Sprig MCP on Gumloop
Pull survey responses for analysis
Retrieve responses across studies or filtered by survey and date range, and optionally include visitor snapshots (events and attributes), page URLs, and browser, OS, and screen metadata. Your AI agent gets the full context behind each answer.
List and inspect studies
Retrieve survey configurations filtered by status (in progress, paused, completed, draft, archived) and date range, including each study’s questions, constraints, platform, and response limits.
Surface AI-generated themes
Pull Sprig’s built-in AI themes on open-text responses, each with a name, a description, and the responses behind it. An agent can roll these pre-analyzed themes into a summary or trend report.
Look up users and their context
Retrieve a visitor’s profile by user ID, including the attributes and events Sprig has tracked for them, so an agent can understand who gave a piece of feedback.
Enrich user profiles
Create or update users with attributes and events. This lets an AI agent push segments back into Sprig, so your next survey can target the right people.

Sprig MCP use cases
Automated feedback summaries for product managers
An AI agent can pull the latest survey responses and Sprig’s AI themes on a schedule, summarize what users are saying, and post a digest to Slack or a doc every week. PMs get relevant signals without needing to export responses by hand.
Theme-based insight reports for researchers
Ask an agent to retrieve themes across a set of studies, group them by topic, and compile a report with representative quotes. Get a faster path from raw open-text feedback to a shareable research summary.
Segmenting feedback by platform and attributes
Pull responses with visitor snapshots and browser or OS metadata, then have an AI agent break feedback down by segment (like new versus returning users or mobile versus desktop) to see where sentiment differs.
Closing the loop with user enrichment
After analyzing responses, an agent can push attributes and events back into Sprig with the enrichment tool, so a follow-up survey can target exactly the users an insight applies to. Pull feedback, analyze, enrich, repeat.
Cross-platform research workflows
Combine Sprig with Notion, Linear, Slack, and other MCP servers in a single AI agent: log responses to a research repository, turn recurring themes into Linear issues, and share the highlights in Slack, all without manually copying and pasting.
Why use Gumloop for Sprig MCP
Your API key, stored securely (no code)
Building your own Sprig MCP server means managing your environment-scoped API key, handling the Sprig API’s pagination, and writing code to parse responses. With Gumloop, you paste your key once and it’s stored securely. No environment variables and no code against the Sprig API.
Works with multiple MCP clients
Use the Sprig MCP server endpoint in Claude Desktop, Cursor, or directly inside Gumloop. Same server URL, works with any MCP client.
Chain Sprig with 100+ other integrations
Combine Sprig with Notion, Slack, Google Sheets, and other MCP tools in a single AI agent. Pull responses, analyze them with an LLM, and write the insights wherever your team works.
Enterprise-grade and scalable
Built for teams, with role-based permissions and dedicated support for Pro users. The Sprig MCP respects your environment-level access, so an agent only reaches the environment your key is scoped to.
Pricing includes a free plan
You can test the Sprig MCP integration on Gumloop’s free tier before committing. Paid plans start at $37/month.
