Create a Gumloop account

To use this MCP, you need a Gumloop account. If you don't have one yet, sign up and start a 14-day free trial.

2

Add and authorize the Netlify server

In Gumloop, open Connectors and add Netlify. You'll be sent to Netlify's sign-in screen to grant access. The credential is stored securely in Gumloop.

Then use it in your client

What is Netlify MCP?

The Netlify MCP server gives AI agents access to your Netlify account, sites, and deploys. That means agents can read your user, team, project, and deploy details, deploy a site, update project settings and forms, manage form submissions and visitor access controls, and work with extensions. It also provides Netlify coding context, so an agent that’s writing code follows current Netlify conventions.

If you manage Netlify sites, you might spend a lot of your time opening the dashboard to check whether a deploy went out, clicking through projects to update a setting, or exporting form submissions by hand to see who filled out a form. Instead, try an AI agent: describe the deploy or change you want, and your AI agent will ship the deploy or update the project for you.

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It’s an open standard that gives AI agents a way to connect to external tools and services. Instead of calling the Netlify API yourself, managing tokens, and parsing responses, you connect your Netlify account to Gumloop once. After that, you can manage your sites and deploys just by chatting with your AI agent.

What you can do with Netlify MCP on Gumloop

  • Read your account, teams, and projects

Pull user, team, and project details, including projects and the forms attached to a project, so an agent can report on what you have and where it lives without you clicking through the dashboard.

  • Check deploy status

Read deploys for a site and get the details on any single deploy, so an agent can confirm whether a build shipped and surface the state of a release on request.

  • Deploy a site

Trigger a site deploy through the API, so an agent can ship a release when an upstream event happens or when you ask, without opening the Netlify UI.

  • Update project and site settings

Update project configuration and visitor access controls, so an agent can adjust a site’s setup or gate access as your needs change.

  • Manage forms and submissions

Read a project’s forms, update form configuration, and manage form submissions, so an agent can route responses, clean up spam, or summarize what came in.

  • Work with extensions

Read extension details, change extension installation, and initialize a database for an extension, so an agent can manage the add-ons that power a site.

  • Follow Netlify coding conventions

Pull Netlify coding context before writing functions or using the Netlify SDK, so an agent that’s generating code stays aligned with current Netlify practices.

How to connect the Gumloop Netlify MCP Server

  1. 1

    Create a Gumloop account

Sign up at gumloop.com. Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial.

  2. 2

    Add the Netlify MCP server

Copy your MCP server URL from Gumloop and add it to your preferred client (Claude, Cursor, or Gumloop workflows). You'll authorize on first use.

  3. 3

Start using Netlify in your AI workflows

That's it. That’s it: your hosted Netlify MCP server is live, and the same server URL works in any MCP client you’ve added it to. Your AI agent can now read your sites and deploys, ship a deploy, and manage forms, projects, and extensions. Use it inside a Gumloop automation, in Claude Desktop, or in Cursor.

Netlify MCP use cases

Deploy on demand for web teams

When a change is ready, a Gumloop agent can trigger the deploy, check the deploy status until it succeeds, and post the result to Slack with the site link. Web teams ship without switching into the Netlify dashboard.

Deploy monitoring for platform teams

On a schedule, an agent can read recent deploys across your sites, flag any that failed, and summarize the state of each project in a morning report, so platform teams catch broken builds early.

Form submission triage for growth teams

An agent can pull new form submissions from a project, filter out spam, enrich each lead, and write the qualified ones to a Google Sheet or your CRM, so growth teams stop exporting form data by hand.

Access control updates for site owners

When a launch changes who should see a site, an agent can update the project’s visitor access controls and confirm the change, so gating a preview or opening a site up doesn’t require digging through settings.

Cross-tool release agents

Combine Netlify with GitHub, Slack, and Linear in a single agent. When a pull request merges, the agent can deploy the site, verify the deploy, and comment on the Linear issue, so a release updates every tool that tracks it.

Why use Gumloop for Netlify MCP

  • Connect once, no token juggling

Most Netlify MCP setups you find on GitHub ask you to create a personal access token, store it in environment variables, and write code to handle authentication. With Gumloop you connect your Netlify account once and the connection is handled for you. No config files, token juggling, or coding against the Netlify API necessary.

  • Works with multiple MCP clients

Use the Netlify MCP server in Claude Desktop, Cursor, Codex, or directly inside Gumloop agents. Same server URL, works with any MCP client.

  • Chain Netlify with 100+ other integrations

Combine Netlify with GitHub, Slack, Linear, Google Sheets, and other MCP tools in a single AI agent. Deploy a site, read the result, and update every tool that tracks the release.

  • Enterprise-grade and scalable

Built for teams, with role-based permissions and dedicated support for Pro users. For details on Gumloop’s security practices, see trust.gumloop.com.

  • Start with a free trial

You can test the Netlify MCP integration during Gumloop’s 14-day free trial before committing. Paid plans start at $37/month.
