DESCRIPTION

Nanny Weekly Hours Summary & Notification Flow

This flow streamlines the weekly tracking and communication of a nanny's scheduled hours, ensuring all relevant parties are informed and records are up to date. It helps busy families and caregivers maintain clear oversight without manual compilation.

When to Use

This flow is best triggered on a weekly schedule, such as every Sunday evening or Monday morning, to summarize the previous week's calendar events.

Integrations Involved

  • Google Calendar: Gathers weekly event data related to nanny working hours.

  • Slack: Sends notifications summarizing the nanny's hours to designated channels or individuals.

What This Flow Produces

  • A clear summary of the nanny's weekly working hours based on calendar events.

  • Automated Slack notifications to notify stakeholders.

This automated approach eliminates manual hour tracking and communication, providing timely and accurate updates with minimal effort.

HOW DO YOU SET THIS UP?

1.

Configure Google Calendar Node

Select the Google Calendar that contains the nanny's events to ensure accurate data retrieval. This simple automation looks for a specific text in the Google Calendar title (straightforward matching / no AI). This means, to ensure the calculation works properly, you have to: 1. Have up-to-date calendar blocks for Nanny Time 2. Use a similar & unique Title Naming convention e.g. "Nanny Name" in the Title

2.

Set Slack Notification Recipient

Provide the Slack channel or user ID where the weekly summary notifications should be sent. And that's it! Never get asked by your partner "How many hours do we have to pay the nanny this week" ever again - just have the notification sent directly to them, which serves the dual purpose of 1) reminding them to pay the Nanny and 2) calculating total hours this week. Remember: Sometimes automations do not have to be complex at all to be extremely valuable!
