DESCRIPTION

Reddit Insights Analyzer

How this flow works

Analyze the top posts from a subreddit from the past week or past month, and get a report analyzing the themes, trends, and sentiments in those posts.

Here's how it works:

  1. Enter the name of the subreddit you want to analyze (don't include the "r/" prefix)

  2. Optional: include a specific topic to narrow the search scope

  3. Choose to see the top posts from the last week or from the last month

  4. Depending on your choice of time frame, the flow runs either the "Reddit Top Posts Past Month" or "Reddit Top Posts Past Week" subflow. Both scrape the specified subreddit and use an Ask AI node to generate a report.

Why use this flow?

  • Understand trending topics and audience sentiment in specific Reddit communities.

  • Extract actionable insights, such as new perspectives, audience concerns, or trends.

  • Highlight any surprising or outlier information that stands apart from the main themes.

  • Provide context on why these insights matter and how they could inform further actions or decisions.

Who is this for?

  • Growth marketers building out their Reddit growth strategy

  • Content marketers developing an informed content strategy

  • Community managers assessing the health of a Reddit community

  • Brand marketers or public relations professionals analyzing a brand's Reddit presence

How to customize this flow

Adjust the Generate Insights prompt

If you have specific requirements for the report, you can alter the prompt in the "Generate Insights" nodes in the "Reddit Top Posts Past Month" and "Reddit Top Posts Past Week" subflows.

Add an additional service for the output

By default the summary and score will be returned in Gumloop. You might want to add an additional step where the output gets written to a different service, e.g. Google Docs, Airtable, etc. If so, you'll generally want to follow these steps:

  1. Add a node for your desired service in the main flow page ("Flow"). In most cases, this will likely be a "write" type node (e.g. Write to Google Docs, Write to Airtable, etc.).

  2. Connect the "Reddit Top Posts Past Month"/"Reddit Top Posts Past Week" subflow nodes to the new node you just added

  3. Configure the new node to use the "Output" variable from the "Reddit Top Posts Past Month"/"Reddit Top Posts Past Week" subflow nodes

HOW DO YOU SET THIS UP?

1.

Enter subreddit name

Specify the target Reddit community (don't include "r/")

2.

Optional: specify a particular topic

3.

Choose either top posts from the past week or past month
