What is beehiiv MCP?
The beehiiv MCP server gives AI agents access to your beehiiv newsletter data. That means agents can create posts, manage subscribers, browse audience segments, enrich subscriber profiles with custom fields, set up monetization tiers, and read your publications and automations. It connects to the same publication you run on beehiiv, so an agent can draft a newsletter or update your list instead of you doing it by hand in the dashboard.
Running a newsletter comes with steady upkeep: drafting posts, adding and updating subscribers, tagging people for segments, and checking how each audience slice is performing. The beehiiv MCP server hands that work to an AI agent that can compose the post, add the subscriber, and pull the segment stats. Describe what you need, and your AI agent will manage your beehiiv publication for you.
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets AI agents call external tools. Normally, working with the beehiiv API means managing an API key and writing code against its endpoints. Gumloop wraps that behind a hosted server: add your beehiiv API key once. After that, you can create posts, manage subscribers, and review segments just by chatting with your AI agent in plain language.

beehiiv MCP use cases
Draft newsletters for creators
An agent turns an outline or source doc into a beehiiv post built from blocks, saved as a draft or scheduled to send, so a writer just reviews and ships it.
Subscriber sync for growth teams
When someone signs up elsewhere, an agent adds them to beehiiv with UTM attribution, referral code, and custom fields, keeping the list current without manual entry.
Audience analysis for editors
An agent pulls stats across your segments, such as open and click rates, and writes a weekly summary into a doc or Slack.
Premium launch setup for operators
An agent creates the premium tiers with pricing and the custom fields a paid launch needs, so the monetization setup is ready in one run.
Subscriber lookup for support
When a reader writes in, an agent looks them up by email, checks their tier and tags, and updates their record or unsubscribes them as needed.
