What is Attio MCP?
The Attio MCP server gives AI agents access to your Attio CRM. That means agents can search companies and people across multiple fields, read individual company and contact records, create and update companies and people, enrich records with social profiles, browse your workspace lists, and add records to those lists. It works across Attio’s two core objects, companies and people, plus the lists you organize them into.
If your team spends time copying lead details into its CRM by hand, cleaning up incomplete or stale records, or building prospect lists row by row, an AI agent can take over a lot of that busywork. Describe what you need, and your AI agent will handle the record updates for you.
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It’s an open standard that gives AI agents a way to connect to external tools and services. Instead of registering an OAuth app with Attio, exchanging tokens, and writing code against the Attio API, you connect your Attio account through Gumloop once. After that, you can keep your CRM clean and current just by chatting with your AI agent.

What you can do with Attio MCP on Gumloop
Search companies across multiple fields
Find companies by name, domain, category, location, or social profile using partial-match or exact-match filters. Your AI agent can sort the results and pull up to 500 records in a single call, since the Attio MCP server handles pagination internally.
Search people across your contacts
Look up people by name, email, job title, description, location, company, or social profile. The same multi-field, partial-match search makes it easy for an agent to answer requests like finding everyone at a given company with a LinkedIn profile.
Read full company and contact records
Pull a specific company or person by record ID to get the complete set of fields back. Your agent can summarize an account or surface the right contact without anyone clicking through Attio.
Create and update company records
Add new companies with domains, categories, locations, and descriptions, or update existing ones to fill in missing details. Useful for importing accounts and keeping company data current.
Create and update people, linked to companies
Create contacts with names, emails, phone numbers, job titles, and locations, and associate a person with a company at creation time. Update existing people to correct or enrich their details.
Enrich records with social profiles
Read and write LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and AngelList links on both companies and people, so an agent can round out a record from public profile data.
Browse and read your lists
List every list in your workspace and read all entries from a specific list with pagination. Your agent can pull a prospect list or outreach queue and reason over who is on it.
Add records to lists
Add a person or company to an existing list to build prospect lists, outreach queues, or pipeline stages programmatically.

Attio MCP use cases
Lead enrichment for sales teams
When a new lead arrives from a form, an inbound email, or a spreadsheet, a Gumloop agent can search Attio for the matching company and person, create either record if it’s missing, fill in social profiles and firmographic details, link the contact to the company, and add it to a prospect list. Sales reps open a clean, enriched record instead of typing it in.
CRM record hygiene for RevOps
A RevOps team can have an agent search for companies and people with incomplete fields, read each record, and update the gaps with domains, categories, locations, and social links. Records stay current without anyone needing to work through them by hand.
List building for GTM operators
Point an agent at a sheet of target accounts and it can search Attio for each one, create any companies that don’t exist yet, and add every match to a named list. A go-to-market operator gets a ready-to-use outreach list built from the source data.
Duplicate-aware contact imports for founders
Give an agent a batch of new contacts and it can run an exact-match search for each person before creating anything, so it only adds people who aren’t already in Attio. Import contacts at volume while keeping the CRM tidy.
Cross-platform CRM agents
Connect Attio with Slack, Gmail, Google Sheets, and other MCP integrations in a single agent. When a list grows past a threshold, the agent can post a summary to Slack, sync a list’s entries to a Google Sheet for reporting, or create an Attio record the moment a new contact replies in Gmail.
