DESCRIPTION
What does this flow do?
Stay on top of the latest startup funding trends! This workflow uses Exa to monitor the web for recent startup funding announcements (for the last week, by default) and organizes the findings in a Google Sheet. The flow extracts information about the startups (e.g. name, website, customers, etc.) and the funding (amount raised, investors, etc.), and organizes the findings in a Google Sheet.
Who is this for?
-
Salespeople (or marketers running an ABM strategy) looking to target startups that just received funding
-
Startup founders trying to stay informed about market trends, or possible new competitors
-
Analysts performing initial research on recent startup activity in specific target geos
How to customize this flow
-
Which keywords to track: Change the Keywords to Monitor in the Interface node. Use keywords to narrow the scope of funding announcements, (e.g. “fintech Series A,” “Bay Area-based startups”).
-
Date range: Change the Date Range in the Startup Funding Monitor node. By default, it's set to Last 30 Days.
-
Add a time trigger: set this flow to trigger automatically once a week (or at your preferred frequency).
-
Extract different types of information: by default, this template returns research on the company name, URL, major investors, major customers, and the latest funding amount. Add additional data types in the Data section of the Extract Data node if desired. If you do, don't forget to create new headers in the following Google Sheet node!
-
Substitute Google Sheets for a different tool: Prefer a database to a spreadsheet? You can substitute the Create Google Sheet node with a different tool, like Airtable, or Notion.
