DESCRIPTION
Watch this video to see this flow in action: https://vimeo.com/1122355480/cd4e400df8
What does this flow do?
Identify and evaluate the top contributors to an open-source repo, and get a comprehensive report of who might be the best candidates for hiring outreach.
Here's how it works:
-
Input a GitHub repo URL (the repo you want to analyze) and your email
-
Identify the top 12 contributors to that repo (excluding bots)
-
Perform background research on the human contributors, and analyze who might be the most hireable
-
Generate and send a report of the findings as an HTML email report.
Who is this for?
- Startup founders and recruiters looking for promising technical hires
What is this solving?
Finding the right talent is crucial for growing your team. At Gumloop, we prioritize finding high-quality engineering candidates. One way to find quality engineering candidates? Looking at open source contributors.
This Gumloop workflow automates the process of identifying and evaluating top contributors in the open-source community, and surfaces the most hireable contributors. This workflow automatically generates comprehensive reports of potential candidates based on their contributions, making it easier to find talent for hiring opportunities and accelerating recruitment efforts.
How to customize this flow
-
Number of candidates: Change the Number of Contributors in the Top Contributors Fetcher node. By default, it's set to 12.
-
Change "hireable" criteria: This flow is optimized for finding candidates who would be a good fit for an early-stage startup. If that doesn't describe your business, Try changing the prompt in the "Who's hireable" node.
-
Change the email template design: In the Generate HTML Report node, you can adjust the prompt to change the design parameters.
HOW DO YOU SET THIS UP?
1.
Input GitHub Repo URL
In the first interface node, enter the URL of the GitHub repo you want to analyze.
2.
Enter your email
In the first interface node, enter the email that you want to send the report to (probably your own email)
